Where to get the very best deals on iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14 and more.
The best iPhone plans in Australia for every model
Buyer Beware: iPhone 16 incoming
Early September is possibly the worst time of the year you can buy a new iPhone on a plan. On 10 September, Apple revealed the all-new iPhone 16, which is available for pre-order from Friday the 13th of September. Even if you are interested in the iPhone 15, that handset has also been discounted since the iPhone 16 was announced.
We'd recommend waiting for the iPhone 16 plans to arrive before making a purchase.

Joining the iPhone club has never been the cheapest experience, but it doesn’t need to break the bank either. To help you find the right iPhone plan for you, we’ve done all the hard work to find the best plans for every type of user, whether you’re after the newest iPhone 15 or happy to settle for an older model.
To keep costs as low as we can for people who want the latest, we’re using the 128GB as our comparison model (unless noted otherwise), paid over 36 months. The first thing you might notice is the abundance of Vodafone plans on this page (and often the same Vodafone plan). That's simply because Vodafone's deals are hard to beat for iPhone 15. And what's the best for one iPhone is typically the best for all iPhone plans.
If you’d prefer an iPhone 14, we've listed the best plan available for last year's handset too. But if you'd prefer any other model, simply click the ‘Go’ button next to your preferred plan and change your device selection on the telco’s website.
Let’s go.
Best value iPhone 15 plan
Vodafone $49 Small Plan + iPhone 15 128GB
Vodafone's $49 Small Plan takes the top place as the iPhone plan to beat in multiple categories. Not just because it's the cheapest plan iPhone plan available but because it includes unlimited calls and text, 50GB of monthly data (and endless 2Mps capped data after that).
Here's that same plan with the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Not quite what you're looking for? Here's a small selection of other popular iPhone 15 plans that Australians are choosing.
Next best value iPhone 15 plan
Optus $52 Choice Plan + iPhone 15 128GB
The next cheapest iPhone 15 plan available in the $52 Optus Choice Plus plan, the cheapest plan available from Optus. You can get it on a 24 or 36 month payment plan, but as with Vodafone, you end up paying the same amount for the phone over the duration of your plan. Opting for a 36-month arrangement simply makes your monthly repayments a little lighter, though you'll continue to pay over a longer period.
Our pick for an Optus iPhone 15 plan comes with unlimited calls and texts and 50GB of data to use every month. It also helps that Optus is running an end-of-financial-year promotion which means you can snag an Apple Watch Series 9 for $99 when you buy an iPhone 15 over 36 months on an eligible SIM & Watch plan.
Here's how much each the other iPhone 15 models cost on the Optus Choice Plus Plan:
Best value 14 iPhone plan
Vodafone $49 Small Plan + iPhone 14 128GB
Once again, Vodafone's Small Plan takes the top spot for last year's flagship iPhone 14. It's got all the same plan inclusions but comes a little bit cheaper now that the iPhone 15 is out.
If you're interested in purchasing outright, some decent refurbished iPhone 14 deals are starting to pop up too.
Here's that same plan with iPhone 14 Plus.
Not quite what you're looking for? Here's a small selection of other popular iPhone 14 (128GB) plans that Australians are choosing.
Best iPhone 13 plan
Vodafone $49 Small Plan + iPhone 13 128GB
Yes, once again Vodafone's $49 Small Plan is the best choice, even for last year's iPhone 13 128GB which is even cheaper after a recent post-iPhone 14 discount.
You get all the perks and benefits listed above when you choose the iPhone 13, just at a much cheaper price (almost as cheap as the iPhone SE). Telstra and Optus are still stocking the iPhone 13 128GB too. Take a look at the plans below for a glance at some of the most popular options available.
Best big-data iPhone deal
Vodafone $69 Large Plan + iPhone 15 128GB
Vodafone takes out yet another position in our list of the best iPhone plans available but with good reason. There was once a time when there was no such thing as an unlimited mobile data plan but rather recently, Vodafone became one of the first telcos in Australia to offer truly unlimited downloads on a mobile plan.
Most of Vodafone's plans offer an amount of Max Speed Data and unlimited data with capped speeds after that but Vodafone's Medium plan offers a whopping 300GB of max speed data with excess data after that capped at 2Mbps.
If you need a lot of data on the Telstra or Optus networks, you can take a look at some of the highest-usage plans on the market below.
Best Telstra iPhone plan
Telstra $65 Basic Upfront Mobile Plan + iPhone 14 128GB
Vodafone might dominate our picks for data and dollar value but at the end of the day, there are still many Australians that rely on Telstra's market-leading coverage to get by. Telstra's Medium Upfront Plan might not be unlimited but it still includes more monthly data than most Australians need, as well as unlimited standard national calls and texts and all the usual Telstra perks, such as Telstra Plus rewards.
If you want to tweak your monthly usage, check the table below for more popular iPhone plans through Telstra.
Best Optus iPhone plan
Optus $52 Choice + iPhone 14 128GB
Optus is the happy middle-ground for all smartphone plans. Optus still offers more coverage than its cheaper competitor Vodafone and isn't quite as expensive as Telstra but this year, its offers aren't very competitive for iPhone 14.
Still, if you're committed to Optus for one reason or another, the Optus $49 Choice Plan is our pick out of the lot purely for its cheaper price tag. You don't get quite as much data as you do with the other plans in this list but with handset costs included, it still comes cheaper than any other Telstra plan.
Cheapest iPhone plan
iPhone SE 64GB on a $52 Optus Choice Plus Plan
Even though the iPhone 13 is close to taking this place as the best budget iPhone plan in Australia, the 2022 iPhone SE 64GB is still the cheapest iPhone you can score on a plan in Australia. Currently, the cheapest plan available is, once again, the Vodafone Small Plan, which nets you 40GB of monthly data, unlimited calls and text and $5 per day roaming. At less than $60 per month, the iPhone SE with Vodafone is the cheapest iPhone plan currently available in Australia.
Here's a short sample of iPhone SE plans available in Australia, sorted by monthly price on a 36-month plan arrangement.
Best iPhone 12 plan
iPhone 12 64GB + Optus $52 Choice Plan
Before you proceed
As we've noted below, the iPhone 12 is technically still available through Australian carriers but we'd recommend avoiding purchasing it on a plan. While the price differs between providers, it's sometimes more expensive than the 128GB iPhone 13 on a plan.
Despite getting a little long in the tooth, the iPhone 12 from 2020 is still available from select carriers in Australia. The issue is that the iPhone 12 currently sits in a tricky place. On a plan, you'll still pay over $1,200 for the handset over 24 or 36 months. In fact, you can get the 128GB iPhone 13 cheaper than the 64GB iPhone 12 through select providers, so it pays to compare your options.
Still, if you're committed to the iPhone 12 for whatever reason, we'd recommend the Optus $49 Choice Plan for a more affordable option or saving yourself some cash in the long run by purchasing a refurbished iPhone 12 outright.

How we choose the best iPhone plan
When looking at the best iPhone plans and deals, we consider cost, perks, data and speed.
We've also used the iPhone 15 128GB paid over a 36-month period as our benchmark for comparison.
Frequently asked questions about iPhone plans
The best iPhone to buy in Australia is the base model of the latest generation. For now, that’s the iPhone 15. You can pay extra for better hardware and larger screens, but we find the newest iPhone base model to have the best mix of performance, future-proofed features and value.
The cheapest way to buy an iPhone is to pair an Apple handset with a plan that has 36-month handset repayments. This results in the cheapest monthly costs, plus you have a plan to use your new iPhone. Still, buying outright may work out cheaper over the long-term (especially if cheaper plans come along), but prices tend to be the same across retailers.
The iPhone SE (2022) is the iPhone with the best value for money. It has a great price, hardware that can keep up with you, a decent camera by today’s standards, and a compact design.
